Cookies Policy
This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on the Rose Casino website, what each category of cookie does, and how you can control them. It applies to the pages you see before signing in as well as to your account area.

What cookies are and why we use them
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. When you come back, your browser sends that file to us, which lets the site recognise your device and remember a little about your last visit. Similar technologies, such as local storage in your browser, pixels in e-mails and the measurement tools built into mobile apps, work in much the same way. We treat all of them as cookies in this policy.
We use cookies for four broad purposes:
- To run the site. Keeping you signed in, holding your session together as you move between pages, and protecting accounts and our systems from fraud and unauthorised access.
- To understand how the site is used. Counting visits, seeing which pages load slowly and finding the points where something breaks.
- To remember your choices. Your language, your display settings and whether you have already closed a notice.
- To measure our advertising. Working out which of our marketing activity brought you to the site, and not showing you the same advert repeatedly.
Some cookies are set by us and some by the providers we use for payments, identity verification, live chat, analytics and advertising measurement. We do not sell the information cookies collect. As a licensed operator we are required to verify who holds an account and to keep accounts secure, and some cookies support those checks. How we handle personal data more generally, including your rights over it, is covered in our Privacy Policy.
The categories of cookies we use
We group cookies by what they are for rather than by who sets them. The table is a summary; the sections below it explain each group.
| Category | What it is for | Can you switch it off? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Signing in, security, keeping your session open, storing your cookie choices | No - the site cannot be provided without them |
| Performance and analytics | Counting visits and spotting slow pages or errors | Yes |
| Functionality | Remembering preferences such as language or display options | Yes |
| Marketing | Measuring and attributing our advertising | Yes |
Strictly necessary cookies
These make the basic functions of the site work. They keep you signed in as you move between pages, record that you have passed a security step, spread traffic across our servers and help us detect automated attempts to access accounts. They also store the choices you make in the cookie notice, so that we do not ask you again on every page. They are set as soon as you arrive and cannot be turned off from the notice.
Performance and analytics cookies
These tell us how the site behaves in practice: how many people open a page, which routes they take through registration or the cashier, where a page is slow and where an error is being returned. The reports we see are aggregated, so they describe patterns rather than individuals. We use them to fix faults and to decide what to simplify next.
Functionality cookies
These remember the small choices that make a second visit easier: your language, your preferred display format, whether sound is on or off, and which messages you have already closed. Without them the site still works, but you may have to make the same choices again every time you arrive.
Marketing cookies
These help us see which of our advertising and partner activity is working. They can record that you arrived from a particular campaign, that you later opened an account, and that a given advert has already been shown to you. Where we work with advertising partners, they may read their own cookies on your device for the same purpose. We do not use cookies to build a picture of anything beyond your use of our own site and the adverts you have seen for it.
How to manage cookies
You have two sets of controls: ours, on the site, and your own, in your browser or device settings.
In the cookie notice on the site
The first time you visit, a cookie notice asks which optional categories you are happy for us to use. You can accept all of them, reject everything that is not strictly necessary, or choose category by category. Your choice is stored and applied on later visits, and you can change or withdraw it at any time from the cookie settings in the footer of the site. A change takes effect straight away for anything set after that point.
In your browser or on your device
Every current browser lets you see what is stored on your device and decide what to allow. The wording differs between browsers, but the controls are usually in the same place:
- Open your browser settings and find the privacy, security or site data section.
- Choose whether to block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, or clear what is already stored.
- Set cookies to be deleted automatically when you close the browser, if you prefer a clean start each time.
- Use the per-site controls to allow or block cookies for our site alone.
- Open a private or incognito window, where cookies are discarded as soon as you close it.
Mobile devices also hold an advertising identifier in their own settings, separate from your browser, which you can reset or limit. Clearing cookies removes the record of your cookie choices as well, so the notice will appear again on your next visit.
What happens if you block or delete cookies
Turning off optional cookies is your decision and we will respect it. Blocking everything has consequences, because the site depends on strictly necessary cookies to tell one visitor from another.
- You may not be able to sign in, or you may be signed out as soon as you open another page.
- Deposits, withdrawals and verification steps in the cashier may not complete, as these need a session to stay open.
- Live chat may not open, or may lose the thread of your conversation.
- Preferences such as language and display settings will reset on every visit.
- The cookie notice will keep appearing, because the record of your choice is itself stored in a cookie.
Changes to this policy and how to reach us
We update this policy when the cookies we use change, when a provider is added or removed, or when the law and guidance that apply to us change. The version published here is always the current one, and the date it last changed is shown with it.
If you have a question about this policy, want to know more about a particular cookie, or think something has stopped working because of a setting you have changed, contact us by e-mail at support@casino-rose.co.uk or through the live chat on the site. Please tell us which browser and device you are using, as that helps us look into it faster.
