What personal data we collect

We collect personal data in three ways: you give it to us when you register or get in touch, our systems record it while your account is in use, and our verification and payment partners return the results of the checks we ask them to run.

What you give us

  • Name, date of birth, home address, e-mail address and mobile number, as entered when you register.
  • Your username and the security details used to recover access to your account.
  • Identity and address documents, and any likeness check requested during verification.
  • Source of funds information where we are required to ask for it.
  • The safer gambling settings you choose: deposit limits, session reminders, time-outs and self-exclusion.
  • Anything you send us by e-mail or live chat, including attachments.

What your play creates

  • Deposits, withdrawals, pending payouts, bonus credits and wagering progress, as shown in the cashier and your account history.
  • Games opened, stakes placed, results, session length and log-in times.

Device and usage data

  • IP address, the approximate location taken from it, device type, operating system, browser and language settings.
  • Identifiers set by cookies and similar technologies.
  • Security logs, including failed log-in attempts and activity our systems flag for a closer look.

Who we share your data with

We share data only where it is needed, and only with parties bound to use it for the purpose we set.

  • Payment and banking providers, so deposits and withdrawals can be processed and matched to your account.
  • Identity-verification, age-verification and fraud-prevention partners, who confirm the details and documents you give us.
  • The providers of our games and of the platform the site runs on, so your play is recorded and settled correctly.
  • The national self-exclusion scheme GamStop, so that a registration there is honoured on our site.
  • Regulators, law enforcement, tax authorities and courts, where the law requires disclosure or a valid request is made.
  • Our suppliers of hosting, e-mail, analytics and support tools, and our auditors and advisers, under written contracts.

We do not sell your personal data. Where information has to be handled outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law provides, such as approved contract terms, so the same level of protection follows your data.

How long we keep your data

We keep each type of record for as long as we need it, and no longer.

  • Account, verification and transaction records: while your account is open, and for the period our legal and regulatory duties require after it closes.
  • Safer gambling records, including time-outs and self-exclusions: for the length of the measure and the retention period that applies afterwards, so any request to return is handled properly.
  • Marketing consents: for as long as we need to show what you agreed to and when you changed your mind.
  • Support messages: a limited period after the matter is closed, or longer if a complaint or claim is still open.

When a retention period ends, we delete the data or strip out anything that identifies you. We cannot delete records we are legally required to hold, so closing your account does not erase everything.

Your rights and how to use them

Under UK data protection law you hold the following rights over your data, free of charge in almost all cases.

  1. Access - ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  2. Correction - have inaccurate or incomplete details put right.
  3. Erasure - ask us to delete data we no longer have a lawful reason to keep.
  4. Restriction - ask us to pause our use of your data while a question about it is settled.
  5. Objection - object to processing based on a legitimate interest, and to marketing at any time.
  6. Portability - receive the data you gave us in a commonly used, machine-readable form.
  7. Withdraw consent - switch off marketing or any other use that rests on your agreement.
  8. Complain - raise the matter with the Information Commissioner's Office.

To use any of these, write to support@casino-rose.co.uk from the address registered on your account, or start a live chat on the site. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we answer within the time limit set by UK data protection law. Marketing can also be turned off in your account settings at any time.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you can take the matter to the Information Commissioner's Office, though we would rather hear from you first so that we can put things right.

Cookies, changes and getting in touch

Our site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your settings, measure how pages perform and, where you allow it, show offers that match your interests. You can accept or refuse the optional categories when you first arrive and change your choice later in the cookie settings; the full detail sits in our Cookie Policy.

We update this policy when our practices or the law change. The current version always appears on this page, and we tell you about material changes by e-mail or by a notice in your account before they take effect.

Questions about this policy or about how we handle your data can go to privacy@casino-rose.co.uk. Account queries are best sent to support@casino-rose.co.uk or raised on live chat, where our team can see your account.
